The landscape design for our client adopts structures existing in the kitchen garden to integrate the show garden into its environment and introduces new elements to mark it as a separate entity. We continue the kitchen garden’s system of borders and paths in our garden but make it more formal by using square flowerbeds, clipped Ilex hedges and classic pergolas. We divided the garden into different areas to present the diversity of our client’s plants.
Espaliered fruit trees in different forms grow on the sandstone wall. Climbing plants on pergolas shade seating areas along the wall. Themed gardens are on display in the seventeen square beds. They also show combinations of fruit, vegetables and perennials that can be grown in even the smallest garden. Two paved areas are designated to show trees and shrubs for containers.
