Garden Design in Munich – Autumnal glory on a roof terrace in Schwabing

Now, in autumn, the replanting  of this Munich roof terrace begins to look established. It became necessary after a comprehensive renovation at the beginning of this year. Planning had to consider the exposed south-facing location of the terrace and the requirements of naturalistic planting and all-year interest. The plant selection needed to match the building colours terracotta and petrol blue and the deep red plant containers. Fresh green Bamboo, blue-green ornamental foliage plants and buff grasses frame seasonal highlights such as burnt orange tulips, light pink roses and velvety-red daylilies. Crimson cornflowers and brilliant red poppies add playful touches from June. All summer long Gaura and Mexican fleabane grant airiness to the composition.
