Auderset Fischer created an elegant display of spring plants in different hues of cream and bespoke dark grey window boxes as part of their collaboration with a five star hotel in the skiing resort of Saas Fee.
Daffodils (Narcissus ‘Bridal Crown’) were combined with white tulips, Christmas roses (Hellebores niger and ‘White Spotted Lady’), sedges (evergreen Carex oshimensis ‘Evergold, Carex morrowii ‘Variegata’ and ‘Ice Dance’) and ferns (Polystichum aculeatum and Asplenium trichomanens).
The sloping site is located at an altitude of 1800 meters, in the town’s historic centre, and is covered in snow about six months per annum. Construction for another building on site is currently underway. Auderset Fischer are devising a landscape design to link the new to the existing building. Also, last details are sorted to have the area in front of the hotel spa built and planted up for the coming winter season.
