The Chalet Garden in Zermatt exudes the charm of alpine wilderness and cosiness with its planting. The selected plants are native and have been cultivated for many years in a Swiss nursery, making them extremely robust and able to thrive at an altitude of 1,800 metres above sea level. Once the garden has been completed, the older trees (Pinus mugo ssp. mughus, Pinus mugo “Gnom” and Larix decidua) with their gnarled branches will shape the character of the garden and form a generous green frame on all sides, where you can retreat and enjoy the view of the Matterhorn.

The pergolas, made of solid silver fir, are symbolic of the clear and distinctive Valais architecture and form an intense connection to the chalet. The shapes and colours of the architecture merge into the garden and form a unity with the surroundings.
